Establishment of Alumni of International Social Sciences

This year, Faculty of International Social Sciences (ISS) has established its own alumni association, and I, Kazuki Yoshino, will announce that I have become the head of the association.
ISS was founded in 2016, which was the newest faculty ever made since 1964, and it has sent more than 700 graduates since 2020. I graduated ISS that year, but as the COVID-19 pandemic became a serious problem at that time, we had no choice but to cancel the graduation ceremony. Since then, the world has been facing serious issues day by day, and most of them are still not solved.
During this difficult time, when alumni association of ISS was created, I was always thinking of what the good points of ISS were, and I thought that although people in ISS have various backgrounds and say their opinions confidently, they respect what others think and what others like (or want) to do.
Nothing remains, or nothing can come out as a result when people just think of their own. If societies have perspectives that they should respect others’ personalities while having their own thinkings just as people in ISS do, I always imagine how they will change in a better way.
In this alumni association, I really hope that all ISS graduates will cherish this value, and there will be a lot of interaction regardless of generations, and admire each other’s value. And to achieve this, we, the administrators of the association, will work hard as much as possible.
Thank you. And may you all have a wonderful time together.

Kazuki Yoshino
Head of the Alumni Association of International Social Sciences
